Çiğdem Çınar

Çiğdem Çınar is an economist with a distinguished professional career spanning more than four decades. Over the course of 43 years, she served for 21 years at the Ministry of Trade of Türkiye, including two separate three-year assignments as Commercial Counsellor at the Turkish Embassies in The Hague and Budapest.
Throughout her career, she has represented Türkiye in numerous international organisations and inter-governmental meetings. as both a strategist and negotiator. With extensive expertise in Türkiye’s foreign trade and economic relations, she also served at the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK) as Group Coordinator responsible for the Turkish–Eurasian Business Councils.
For nearly two decades, Çiğdem Çınar has been an executive at the Turkish Contractors Association, the leading non-governmental organisation representing Türkiye’s construction and international contracting industry. Since 2007, she has additionally served as the Permanent Official representing TCA at the European International Contractors.
