Mr. Ghaffari has acted as Counsel in approx. 100 commercial and construction arbitrations, under the rules of all the major arbitral institutions. He advises owners and developers, EPC and EPCM contractors, engineers, major equipment suppliers, and subcontractors, on complex, high-value, and politically significant construction and project disputes, worth billions of dollars. He has handled disputes involving chemical, petrochemical, and other manufacturing, and processing plants; onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities; refineries; desalination plants; pipelines; nuclear and fossil fuel plants; transport and logistics (roads, railways, airports). Additionally, Mr. Ghaffari regularly sits as Presiding and Sole Arbitrator under the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, and DIAC rules, with over 40 appointments to date.
